This is not an easy post to write because it feels a bit like giving up. I’m not. But I am changing directions and wanted you amazing women to hear it first.
I was so pumped when I created and built this site because it launched my coaching and website design business and was geared directly to women I could totally relate to. Single moms who wanted a different kind of life. One where they weren’t just getting through the days but where they were focused on finding their purpose, setting and achieving goals and building their own businesses. And I have loved it. I’ve loved meeting all of you and answering questions and helping share resources and tools to get you up and running.
But every once in a while you need to know when to pivot. And I’ve been fighting this one for awhile. I’ve stalled a bit about moving forward because it felt dumb to me to up and change directions so quickly. I mean, I just launched this site in the summer of 2017 and it’s doing well. I’ve had lots of single moms reach out and share their stories and struggles and I’ve been able to work one on one with a number of you both as a coach and to help you build your own websites.
Here’s the thing, though. I’m a therapist along with being a business coach and single mom of four. I’ve missed the therapy part of my life and so I went back into private practice part time. As that practice has grown, my ability to take on clients and help single moms on this site has diminished. As has my ability to actually get anything else done in my own life and family. Which sucks.
The other thing that happened is that I’ve spent the past few months building websites for other therapists in private practice. Which led to talking about starting and growing their businesses. And I’ve realized how much I want to focus in on this specific group of people to work with from here on out. When I encourage niching down, I really mean it. And I take my own advice as well which is how I came to this decision.
This isn’t goodbye because I’m not shutting this site down. I’m going to continue to to maintain the website as well as some of the services I offer including the website design packages. I’ll keep adding resources as well when I have something to share however, I’m removing the membership area of this site today since I can’t maintain it any longer. Girl, I’m crazy busy in private practice and in coaching and web design and something has to give.
WEBSITE DESIGN SERVICES
I thought long and hard about how I wanted to put my packages together because I wanted to make sure that there was a package pretty much everyone could afford when they were just starting out. It’s been a struggle at times to continue to be able to offer these packages at this pricing but I’m going to continue to try to do so for the next few months and see how things go.
These packages were designed specifically for single mothers on tight budgets who want their own blog or online business and I’m still going to work with you to build your perfect online space.
What will change is that the services will be offered specifically to moms who know what they want and are ready to get to work. I used to spend several weeks helping women drill down to find their genius zone, to work on branding, and then to build their websites and I simply can’t do that any longer.
So if you’re interested in one of my website design packages, please be prepared with your vision and be ready to get going. I have a bit of a wait list at the moment but if you’re super focused and ready to launch, I can build your site fast. Like in less than a week fast if the Gods are aligned, the timing is right, and you know what you want.
On that note, I’ll sign off. It’s not good-bye but it’s definitely a pivot. And if you’re feeling the same (New year, new you and all that jazz) drop me a line and tell me about it. I still read every email you send. And as always, share your wins, share your voice, and just get out there and do what you love.
